First class results from this year’s Oyster BVI regatta. For another year Dolphin had a strong showing of customers, with 60% of the fleet all sporting our sails. This year our customers dominated the results in Class 2 taking the top four podium places. A special congratulations must also be given to Oyster 72 ‘Infiniti of Cowes’ who’s new DYS Dyneema headsails which were delivered before the regatta helped her to win every race in Class 2.
Amongst the entrants where many previous and regular customers to these Oyster regattas along with some new faces who made their first ARC trip to be part of this excellent ran regatta.
Once such new entrant was ‘Atalanta’ Oys 575 who after being commissioned last summer made their way from the UK, through the Med to start the ARC on their first Atlantic crossing.
It is always good to meet our customers and talk to them on their experience’s and gain valuable feedback on our product. It also gives us a good opportunity to discuss with them any new sail setups that they may benefit from for future passages or regattas. Such new sail setup options that are regularly discussed are Twin headstay or Karver Top down furlers which can be easily added to their existing inventories
Again we would like to thank all our customers throughout the fleet for their hospitality and support they gave to our team during the regatta
Below is a list of results

1st Infiniti of Cowes Oys 72

Dolphin would like to congratulate all our customers and crew on board the 15 competing yachts sporting Dolphin sails and covers in the latest edition of the World Cruising Clubs Atlantic Rally for Cruisers.
This is a testing event for many of the crews, especially if it is their first Atlantic crossing but for them choosing a Dolphin product whether it be a sail or a cover gave them one less thing to worry about.
Our sails Production Manager, Gareth Heel, was on hand in Las Palmas before the start to see our customers and ensure that any questions they had were answered or issues with the sails sorted before departing.
We can now wish all those customers an enjoyable Caribbean season and a safe passage to their next destination.

Advanced form finding technology allows us to digistise the points on a boat to create a winter cover that fits snuggly and offers the maximum protection.
Whilst this Dale Nelson 45 was located in France we were able to still digitise the boat and with the use of the form finding software we were able to design the winter cover to the owners specifications.
Using the WeatherMax80 fabric means that the cover is half the weight of the traditional acrylics that have typically been used. The strength in the fabric allows for a better shape to be created as the fibers will not sag like the old acrylics. Also the WeatherMax80 is more breathable, ensuring the underside stays drier.

When conditions get tough, get Dolphin! Our sprayhoods are made to withstand the harshest conditions.
The owners of ‘Sabbiticus’ an Oyster 49 have kindly sent us this lovely feedback.
“Thinking of you / Dolphin Sails the other night when we were grtting hammered beating into 40 – 45kts coming anto the Channel Du Four as we approached Brest. John and I were both sheltering under the sprayhood which was excellent protection from the elements. We were very grateful having the quality of the Dolphin sprayhood to know it could take the pounding in heavy weather and keep us dry.”
Before the trip the owners inspected the new Dolphin bimini which has been made out of “Silver” WeatherMax80.
